SEYE
Self-taught shoemaker, I strive to deliver high-quality products with an artistic edge without losing sight of comfort and simplicity.
Inspired by the traditional way of shoemaking as well as the Japanese philosophy Wabi-Sabi, I embrace the saying “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”.
Constantly aspiring to experiment and innovate, I like to describe my craft as Avant-Garde.
I handcraft unique-everyday-shoes made with premium leather from local tanneries and minimal use of machinery. Each shoe is hand-crafted, hand-lasted, and fully-lined with goat or calf skin. The leather sole is wood-pegged, hand-stitched and finished with vibram for durability. The leather band all around is entirely hand-stitched as well. As of manual production, small differences may occur between each pair (scratches, cuts, stains…). These are not damages, they are part of the shoe characteristics.
