While working in the fashion industry as a buyer, the designer was unable to find the jewelry he wanted, so he began making jewelry on his own. Started DETAJ in 1995. Our approach to creation begins with a dialogue with the material, and we create a unique material feel by making the most of the properties of metal and repeating a lot of trial and error. Inspiration is always present in everyday life, and is born from the shared sense of time and the distortion of the atmosphere. We don't like fancy decorations, and all of our forms are handmade in our own atelier, with a focus on structure and functional beauty. We aim to create products that appeal to the inner world of people, regardless of gender, from a personal perspective.
