About the Brand
CHIAHUNG SU
A brand by Taiwanese designer Chia-Hung Su.
After obtaining his Master's degree (MA Fashion Design Technology) at the London College of Fashion, he established his eponymous label in 2020.
Based on the beauty found in imperfection and transience, similar to the Japanese aesthetics of "wabi-sabi" and "mono no aware," the brand creates unisex clothing with a tailoring foundation, utilizing hand-woven fabrics from Taiwan's indigenous Atayal tribe, naturally dyed materials, and vintage fabrics.
With "Cultural Historical Sustainability" as its philosophy, the brand continues to create works that connect tradition and modernity, culture and craft.
Each piece breathes with a deep story, painstakingly layered with time and effort, from materials and dyeing to tailoring.
