The designer, while working in fashion as a buyer, started creating jewelry independently when he couldn't find the jewelry he envisioned. DETAJ was launched in 1995.

The approach to creation begins with a dialogue with materials, maximizing the characteristics of metals and undergoing numerous trials and errors to create a unique material feel. Inspiration is always found in everyday life, emerging from shared time and distortions in the atmosphere. Eschewing ornate decoration, the forms derived from structure and functional beauty are all handmade in their own atelier. The aim is to create products that appeal to the inner self, transcending gender from a personal perspective.
