The BANDAGE SKULL RING features subtle facial expressions within its organic, bandage-like coiled form.

The rough silver texture and irregular contours create an expression that combines the softness of a bandage with the hardness of bone. The outline of the skull on the front blends into the shadows of the ring. It is a DETAJ-like ring that is more like a trace than an adornment.

The designer, while working in fashion as a buyer, began making jewelry independently after being unable to find the jewelry he envisioned. DETAJ was launched in 1995.

The approach to creation begins with a dialogue with materials, maximizing the characteristics of metals and creating unique material textures through many trials and errors. Inspiration is always found in daily life, born from a sense of shared time and distortions in the atmosphere. Eschewing ornate decoration, the forms derived from structure and functional beauty are all handmade in their own atelier. The aim is to create items from a personal perspective that appeal to the inner self, transcending gender.
