26SS Collection
Macchia Mediterranea
Macchia Mediterranea means "Mediterranean scrubland spreading along the southern coast."
This collection reinterprets the wild nature and serene beauty of the southern coast, drawing inspiration from the light, colors, and textures of the Mediterranean from a contemporary perspective.
It respects the natural expression of materials like rock faces, plants, and sea-breeze-exposed elements, seeking refinement born from not over-designing.
It expresses a new balance where opposing elements—wildness and sophistication, nature and humanity, past and present—coexist.
This summer collection sublimates the vitality dwelling in the primordial Mediterranean landscape into contemporary wardrobes, with tagliovivo's unique sensibility.
Color Palette – Macchia Mediterranea
The color palette is derived from the plants, flowers, sky, wind, sea, and light and shadow of the Mediterranean coast.
Each possesses a vibrant individuality, yet they harmonize beautifully as a single landscape.
Bora - A tone with a tense atmosphere, derived from the cold, sharp northerly wind "Bora." It brings tension and contrast amidst the heat and stillness.
Brand Introduction
tagliovivo
The brand name "Tagliovivo," meaning "raw cut," accurately describes the identity of this brand, which is luxurious yet rustic in appearance. The combination of vegetable-tanned rough leather and metal is a characteristic of this brand.
Tagliovivo's bags are natural.
Here, "natural" means that bags are made with scars on the leather left as they are, based on the designer's idea of accepting the scars that were once part of the animals. These are born out of respect for animals. Such rough leather with scars reminds the designer of nature. He wants to create bags that are as close to nature as possible. Each piece is hand-cut, considering which part to use for durability and how to create a beautiful bag that can be used across generations.
Another distinctive feature is the metal.
Many buckle rings use wrought iron chains made in the mid to late 19th century. These were used to hang teapots over fireplaces in Italy, and the moment I first saw them, I was captivated and wanted to incorporate them into bags. In addition to such iron, we have also begun to incorporate aluminum. To create a contrast between rough leather and shining metal, we created round handles cut with a laser. These are produced by artisans at a long-established workshop in Italy that has been around for three generations.
