26SS Collection
Macchia Mediterranea
Macchia Mediterranea means "Mediterranean shrubland spreading across the southern coast."
This collection reinterprets the wild nature and quiet beauty of the southern coast, inspired by the light, colors, and textures of the Mediterranean, from a contemporary perspective.
We respect the natural appearance of materials exposed to rock faces, plants, and sea breezes, pursuing the sophistication that arises from not over-designing.
It expresses a new balance where opposing elements—wildness and sophistication, nature and humanity, past and present—coexist.
This is a summer collection that elevates the vitality of the Mediterranean landscape into a modern wardrobe, with tagliovivo's unique sensibility.
Color Palette – Macchia Mediterranea
The color palette is derived from the plants, flowers, sky, wind, sea, and light and shadow of the Mediterranean coast.
Each possesses a vivid individuality, yet harmonizes beautifully as a single landscape.
Black - Multiple blacks appearing through different materials and expressions. You can enjoy various blacks each season, such as black that absorbs light or black that emphasizes contours.
Brand Introduction
tagliovivo
The brand name [Tagliovivo], meaning "raw cut," accurately expresses the brand's identity: a luxurious yet rough aesthetic. The combination of rough vegetable-tanned leather and metal is a characteristic feature of this brand.
Tagliovivo's bags are natural.
Here, "natural" means that the bags are made while preserving the scratches on the leather, reflecting the designer's philosophy of embracing the marks that were part of the animals. These are born from respect for animals. Such rough leather with remaining scratches reminds the designer of nature. He wants to create bags that are as close to nature as possible. Each piece is hand-cut, considering which part to use for durability and how to create a beautiful bag that can be used across generations.
Metal, another distinctive feature.
Many of the buckle rings use wrought iron chains made in the mid to late 19th century. These were used to hang teapots over fireplaces in Italy, and the designer was captivated by them the moment he first saw them, wanting to incorporate them into his bags. In addition to iron, he has also begun to incorporate aluminum. To create a contrast between rough leather and gleaming metal, he created laser-cut round handles. These are produced by artisans in a long-established workshop in Italy, which has been in operation for three generations.
