The brand name "Tagliovivo" means "raw cut" because it perfectly expresses the brand's identity, which is luxurious yet rough-looking. The combination of rough vegetable-tanned leather and metal is a distinctive feature of this brand.

The bags made by Tagliovivo are natural.

The term "natural" here refers to the fact that the bags are made with the leather still intact, reflecting the designer's idea of accepting the scars that were once a part of the animals. These scars are born out of respect for animals. The rough leather with these scars reminds the designer of nature. He wants to create bags that are as close to nature as possible. Each part is cut by hand, taking into consideration which parts will be durable and will result in a beautiful bag that can be used for generations.

Another distinctive feature is the metal.

Many of the buckle rings are made from wrought iron chains from the mid- to late 19th century. They were used in Italy to hang teapots over fireplaces, and the moment I saw them I was instantly captivated and wanted to incorporate them into my bags. In addition to iron, I also began incorporating aluminum. To create a contrast between the rough leather and the shiny metal, I created round laser-cut handles. They are all handcrafted by artisans in a long-established workshop in Italy that has been in business for three generations.
