This collection reinterprets the wild nature and serene beauty of the southern coast, drawing inspiration from the light, colors, and textures of the Mediterranean from a contemporary perspective.

Color Palette – Macchia Mediterranea

The color palette is derived from the plants, flowers, sky, wind, sea, light, and shadow of the Mediterranean coast.
Each possesses a vivid individuality, yet they harmonize beautifully as a single landscape.

Black - The deep shadows cast by the sun, the nighttime coastline. It functions as a color that tightens the overall collection and adds depth of time.

Brand Introduction

The brand name "Tagliovivo," meaning "raw cut," precisely describes the brand's identity of a luxurious yet rugged look. The combination of vegetable-tanned rough leather and metal is a characteristic feature of this brand.

Tagliovivo's bags are natural.

Here, "natural" refers to the designer's philosophy of using leather with its natural imperfections, embracing the scars that were once part of the animals. These are born out of respect for animals. Such rough leather with remaining scars reminds the designer of nature. He aims to make bags as close to nature as possible. Each piece is hand-cut, considering which part to use for durability and to create a beautiful bag that can be used across eras.

Another distinctive feature is the metal.

Many buckle rings use wrought iron chains made in the mid-to-late 19th century. These were used in Italy to hang teapots over fireplaces, and the designer was captivated by them the first time he saw them, deciding to incorporate them into his bags. In addition to this iron, he has also started using aluminum. To create a contrast between rough leather and shining metal, he created circular laser-cut handles. These are produced by artisans in a long-established workshop in Italy that has been around for three generations.
